Obama Ordered Attack on Gaza: Who Knew?

While the American public thinks President-Elect Barack Obama is letting Bush run the country until the inauguration, Al Qaeda's own Ayman al-Zawahiri has revealed startling news:

Obama's War: The Crusade War Against Islam in Gaza

There's an audio message, posted on Islamist websites:

"The speaker, identified as Ayman al-Zawahiri, addresses Muslims in Gaza. He said the violence 'is one part of a series of a crusade war against Islam and these air strikes are a gift from Obama before he takes office, and (Egyptian President) Hosni Mubarak, that traitor, is the main partner in your siege and killing.' " (CNN)

I'm not sure how this will fly, among American Muslims, and Americans in general. Ayman al-Zawahiri may be a little tone-deaf when it comes to understanding the nuances of American culture. Of course, it's possible that he doesn't care what Americans - Muslim or otherwise - think, and intended his earlier "house slave" remark for another audience.

According to the article I read, this message is intended for Muslims in Gaza. I suppose al-Zawahiri has decided that it's time to stop blaming Bush, and get an early start on blaming Obama - and "traitors" like Egypt's Mubarak - for anything that can't be blamed on the Jews.

It'll be interesting to see how blaming Obama will fly in America.
